Village of Waynesfield Park

The Village of Waynesfield Park and the Waynesfield Veterans Memorial are located on the south end of the village at 1 Park Drive, Waynesfield. There are four baseball diamonds, one shelter house, one gazebo, restrooms, a basketball court, volleyball court, and play area. There is also a one mile walking path.

The park is open from 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. unless special permission is granted. The park shelter house and gazebo are also available for rent. There is a $50 fee that must accompany the park shelter house or gazebo rental form to secure the desired location on the desired day.

If the ball diamonds, walking path, or any other area within the park (or any other village-owned property) is desired for a large group gathering (100 people or more), protest, etc., an approved permit will be required. A $100 permit fee along with a completed permit application and indemnity agreement must be submitted a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 180 days prior to the event to the Village Municipal Building, 300 North Westminster Street, Waynesfield, OH 45896.

Park Shelter House Rental
In order to rent the park, you must complete a rental agreement form and submit payment at:

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; excluding holidays.

RENTAL PAYMENTS: For rental of shelter house the Lessee shall pay the sum of $50.00/day. For a large group gathering utilizing the walking path or any other areas of the park, a $100 fee per day and a permit MUST be issued.

DUTIES OF LESSEE. Lessee shall use the leased property in a careful and proper manner and shall agree not to permit any leased property to be operated or used in violation of any applicable Federal, State or Local statute, law, ordinance, rule or regulation relating to the possession, use or maintenance of better condition of cleanliness and neatness and shall remove all refuse or other items or material brought upon the premises by the Lessee. Should Lessee fail to leave the rental property in the same or better condition, Lessor reserves the right to return the property to its prior condition and to recover from Lessee the cost of same.

LESSEES DUTY TO INDEMNIFY. Lessee shall assume, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lessor, its agents and employees from all claims, loss, or damage the Lessor may sustain or suffer the loss or damage to any of the rented property for any cause, the injury or death of any person including but not limited to agents or employees of Lessee, or damage to any property arising from the use, possession, condition, or operation of any rented property.

OBLIGATION SURVIVE LEASED TERM. The indemnities and assumptions of risk, liabilities and obligations by the Lessee arising under this rental agreement during the rental term shall continue in effect after the termination of this rental agreement regardless of reason for termination.

RIGHTS OF LESSOR. Lessor expressly reserves the right to terminate this rental agreement at any time, for any reason and to retake possession of the rented premises.

NO REFUNDS. Cancellations of the park rental agreement for any reason will result in no refunds being issued. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, weather events, natural or manmade disasters, health pandemics, or any other reason given for not utilizing the park rental. If an event is canceled and the applicant would like to reschedule the reservation, the event may be rescheduled to an available date within twelve (12) months of the original event date at no additional cost.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT. No agreements, representations, or warranties, other than those specifically set forth in this Rental Agreement shall be binding on any of the parties unless set forth in writing and signed by both parties.

SAVING CLAUSE. If any provision of this Rental Agreement or the application of any provision to any party or circumstance is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this Rental Agreement and the application of the provision to the other parties or circumstances shall remain valid and in full force and effect.
